Jalapeno Orange Pork Chops
Pork chops charred from the grill and served with a zesty jalapeno orange sauce

Pork Chops:
- 4 bone in pork chops
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Zatarain’s seasoning or Cajun seasoning
Jalapeno Orange Sauce:
- 1 shallot minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- ½ cup orange juice
- 4 tbsp jalapeno jelly
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- ½ tsp fresh grated ginger
- 1 tangelo peeled, segmented and chopped delicately (tangelos are sweet and have little or no seeds. Makes for easy prep)
Pork Chops:
Heat charcoal grill
Season pork chops with Zatarain's and brush with olive oil
Grill to desired doneness
Serve with Jalapeno Orange Sauce
Jalapeno Orange Sauce:
In a small saute pan, melt 1 tbsp butter over medium heat
Add shallot and saute until softened
Add orange juice, jalapeno jelly, worcestershire, soy and ginger
Simmer on medium / low for 10 minutes, until reduced by almost half
Add tangelo reduce heat to low and simmer for another 5 minutes
Add last 1 tbsp butter
Remove from heat
